Curriculum and Laboratory Developments
Developed a new undergraduate/graduate course at WSU in Analysis and Design of Multibody Mechanical Systems.
Developed a new graduate course at WSU in Advanced Computational Analysis and Design of Multibody Mechanical Systems.
As chair of Design/Controls/Manufacturing committee at WSU, the mechanical engineering design curriculum is continuously improved to reflect the latest technological advances as well as the new accreditation requirements by ABET 2000.
The Computational Mechanics Laboratory (Aircraft Design and Analysis Laboratory) is continuously improved by the addition of new computer workstations and microcomputers as well as acquiring new and updated engineering software.
The Mechanical Engineering Workstation Laboratory (Aircraft Design and Analysis Laboratory) is continuously improved by the addition of new computer workstations and state-of-the-art software such as Pro-E, CADAM, CATIA, MADYMO, MARC, ANSYS, NASTRAN, LS-DYNA3D, etc.
The Impact Dynamics Laboratory is continuously improved with new seat fixtures, ATD’s, and devices for testing and evaluation of aircraft seats, interior structures, and occupants behavior.
A computer software was developed implementing techniques in analysis and design of planar multibody mechanical systems for use by students.
A computer program was developed for the analysis and design of spatial multibody mechanical systems for use by students.
An instructional analysis and graphics software for mechanical system modeling, simulation, and graphical animation was developed.
Commercial large-scale multibody software packages were introduced in several undergraduate and graduate classes.
